I paid EUR 30 to have my Iron Rangers re-soling through the Red Wing shop in Berlin. They have it done by some dude out in some village around here. I’ll post some pics before and after tomorrow maybe. I got something with traction (same soles as the Beckmans) because I fell on my ass a few too many times wearing these in the snow, and hiking in them was a bitch if things got slippery. Keep in mind, I travel *a lot* and usually live in one pair of shoes for weeks at a time, so whatever I bring along has to work outside and on the town in lots of different weather conditions. YMMV.
