Well, I can tell you what I own: Redwing 8114 Iron Rangers, Redwing 3145 Suede Chukkas and Redwing 877 8” Moc Toe boots. Of them, the black Iron Rangers would probably go with anything as long as you don’t wear too much brown in your wardrobe and the black/brown color clash makes you feel like a slice of chocolate cake… I wear the Chukkas in summer when it’s hot and the Moc Toes in winter when there’s ice because the Iron Rangers have a very slick sole. If I were to invest in another pair of boots, I would probably go for something a bit more dressy, but still functional, such as a vibram- or commando-soled brogue boot (there was a nice one by Paul Smith last season, for example).
